For the last several years PCFA has held a supervision dinner for the UCLA residents with a “speed dating” program designed to acquaint the residents with potential supervisors. This year the residents have specifically asked to meet with clinical faculty members who have open spots next year for supervision. If you are among the group of faculty members with availability, we are hoping you will join us at this year’s dinner event.
The evening will begin with a quick dinner with approximately 24 residents and 12 faculty members. After dinner and a short introduction by the faculty members, each resident and faculty member will be assigned to a station where they will be seated facing each other. At the sound of a bell, residents and faculty members will get about five minutes to get to know each other and discuss their interests. At the sound of the next bell, the residents will rotate to the next station while the faculty members remain seated. These sessions will repeat until all of the residents have had facetime with all of the faculty members.
The event is open to all residents, but it is primarily the R2s and R3s who will be looking for RPC supervisors for next year. Other residents will be looking for mentors and networking opportunities.
Please let us know if you are interested in attending this event. An RSVP is required. Please contact Lela DeGolia (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call the office at (310) 206-6335.
