Resident Mentoring Dinner

  • New Center for Psychoanalysis (map)

For the past several years PCFA has held a mentoring dinner for the UCLA residents with a “speed dating” program designed to acquaint the residents with supervisors and mentors in the local psychiatric community. The evening will begin with a quick dinner with approximately 24 residents and 12 faculty members. After dinner and a short introduction by the faculty members, each resident and faculty member will be assigned to a station where they will be seated facing each other. At the sound of a bell, residents and faculty members will get about five minutes to get to know each other and discuss their interests. At the sound of the next bell, the residents will rotate to the next station while the faculty members remain seated. These sessions will repeat until all of the residents have had facetime with all of the faculty members.

The event is open to all residents. The R2s and R3s will be looking for RPC supervisors. Other residents will be looking for mentors and networking opportunities.

An RSVP is required. Please e-mail ldegolia@mednet.ucla.edu or call the office at (310) 206-6335.
